Big Band music including swing, Latin and Big Band arrangements of popular songs from a variety of genres.
The Rochester Big Band is a 15 piece swing and Latin band. We play music of the 30’s and 40’s, Glenn Miller, Gene Krupa, Count Basie, and also play some music of the 50’s and 60’s. The last few years we have included swing band adaptations of rock , pop, soul, blues, jump blues, funk, country, and other dance music. This group has played for many outdoor concerts, dances at the Blue Moon, Pine Island and senior centers around the area. We love to play music for any occasion! Latin tunes, a few waltzes and polkas, and music that you remember. We invite you to sit back, listen or "jump jive and wail" along!
